Dr David van der Poorten is a Staff Specialist Gastroenterologist at Westmead Hospital and also has appointments as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Westmead Private and Strathfield Private Hospital. He currently performs endoscopic procedures at all of these locations, and additionally at City West Day Surgery (Westmead) and Healthwoods Day Surgery (Granville). He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and is active in both teaching and research.
Dr van der Poorten’s practice encompasses all aspects of gastroenterology and liver disease including disorders of the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon (large intestine), liver, pancreas and biliary tree. For more information click here.
